Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT). (LMFT100403) Kristen brings a background in trauma therapy and evidence-based cognitive-behavioral therapy to EDTLA where she will be working with adolescents and adults with eating disorders as well as addictions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. She is passionate about helping clients find relief from their suffering and develop healthy behaviors.
Kristen received her Masters in Marital and Family Therapy at Loyola Marymount University with an emphasis in Clinical Art Therapy.
Kristen has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment to help children and adolescents recover from trauma. Kristen can provide services through Victims of Crime (VOC), a state sponsored program that offers free mental health services and financial support for those who have been victimized by a crime.
Kristen has worked in residential treatment facilities for adolescents and children, and an addiction recovery center for adult women. Kristen especially enjoys helping her clients build a better self image so that they can live fuller lives free of mental oppression and self-doubt.
