Who I Am
Hello! My name is Hannah Light (she/they) and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles, CA.
What I Do
My work centers around supporting folks who want to heal and redefine their relationships with food, body, and self. I believe healing becomes possible when we learn to be gentle with ourselves while challenging the cultural and systemic forces - like diet culture, beauty standards, and oppression - that have made that gentleness so hard to access.
I integrate talk therapy with somatic and evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and narrative therapy, to support healing through both reflection and embodiment. My therapeutic lens centers Health at Every Size®, is queer-affirming, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to justice. Therapy with me is a space where you get to be fully yourself - intersectional, complex, tender, hilarious, overwhelmed, all of it. My goal is to support you in feeling more connected to yourself, your body, and your values so you can live with greater ease, authenticity, and self-trust.
More About Me
I bring multiple years of experience working in eating disorder and residential mental health treatment to EDTLA. My practice is also shaped by my work in gender-affirming healthcare and community organizing. I enjoy supporting queer and gender expansive folks, those exploring gender and sexual identity, as well as those navigating anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma.
Outside the therapy space, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, camping, reading, seeing live music, or spending time with my dogs and reptiles.
