Who I Am
Hi, I’m Kylie (she/her). I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker.
What I Do
I utilize a collaborative and person-centered approach to support individuals with eating disorders. I am a fat positive, HAES aligned, queer affirming, and neurodivergent affirming therapist passionate about creating a safe space for clients to tell their story and define their recovery. My hope is for clients to gain insight into themselves by exploring how their lived experiences in relationships and broader sociocultural systems have impacted their mental and physical health, cultivate compassion for themselves, and feel empowered to move away from behaviors and dynamics that no longer serve them.
More About Me
I received my Bachelor of Art degree in Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles and my Master of Social Work from California State University, Fullerton. I have worked at the partial hospitalization level of care, providing support to adolescents with eating disorders and other co-occurring disorders. I also have experience providing mental health support to people of all ages at an LGBTQIA+ community mental health center and a neurodivergent affirming group practice.
I am a major movie and tv buff, and I enjoy ceramics, trying new restaurants, listening to music, and cuddling with my two cats in my free time.
How I Help
I am intentional about connecting with clients in order to build a foundation for true healing. I will offer warmth, insight, and humor in our therapy together to promote healing and help you to meet your goals. I utilize evidence-based interventions when relevant and meaningful to our work together, drawing from CBT, FBT (for families), and narrative style therapies.
